Merchant Minutes

Hello All Meeting was held at City Hall July 16, 2008 , 8.30AM In attendance: Vince Hill-President Linda Adams-Treasurer Neil Brook- Board Member Lisa B Sisk- Secretary Jeaniene Dibble-Art by J Ted Hall- Montcross Area Chamber   Minutes were read and approved Treasury Report-Wachovia BAL $121.24  BB&T-Checking BAL $6645.57 Scholarship Fund BAL - $807.50 We have set a Goal of $4000.00 for the Scholarship fund A sign was made to show progress of money collected for Scholarship fund  and donated by Document Printing. (Thank You)     Beer Garden for the Friday Night Live Events has been extended into the street Our event on 7/11/08 was great! We have three remaining events and we really need more volunteers! If you can volunteer for an hour it would help!   Ted Hall and Elizabeth Atterberry are working on Crusader Days. I am attaching a sheet with most of the details, Ted needs to know Which merchants are Participating, and what kind of discount you will be offering students? We need this by July 31st. As an example: Just Hardwoods will be offering 20% off all Shag Rugs And we will have a drawing for a Lava Lamp! Also The Belmont Merchants Assoc. would like to have a drawing for a $100.00 gift certificate to be used in any participating merchants’ store (the Merchants Assoc. Will reimburse the store where the certificate is used) we need to have a place in each store where the students can sign up.   Jeannie is working on Kids Art Fest- September 13th, 10.00AM - 2.00PM We need to know who is planning on participating and what art activity you have planned, if you need help with Ideas or if you need student volunteers to help the day of. Call Jeannie-704-825-1819 or Me (Lisa) at 704-825-9985   Art Crawl has been set for September 13th, 5.00PM-8.00PM For this we also need to know who will participate, we have some local artist coming if anyone has room for them in their store, if you plan to serve refreshment etc… Again give Jeannie or Myself a call.   Christmas village- Our first Committee meeting will be Aug 14th (Thursday) 11AM At Integrity Structures of the Carolinas , 339 Catawba St . I need to know who is planning on attending this meeting by Aug 7th   Other Dates to remember:  “Friday Night Live” July 25, Aug 8 & Aug 22 Caravan Coffee’s BBQ Cook-off August 1 & 2 Christmas Parade Dec 2nd 4PM   Our next meeting is set for Aug 20th, 8.30AM at City Hall.   We have purchased the domain name: Belmont-Merchants.com We still need pictures and descriptions of all merchants. I need this from each and every merchant!!!
